Nice take on the Monument theme! However, when I first heard about this event, I thought it was one of the most insane things I had ever heard of. Now, years later, I still think the same. 🙂 I mean, people have died doing this, haven’t they?

Yes, they have. And every year there are a lot of injuries. I personally don’t understand it. I’m too afraid even to look at it. But people here live the event with intensity and feel very proud of it. I took the image because of the realism of the figures and because is one of the most popular monuments of my city. I saw your post. I’ve been in Missouri but I didn’t know about that story. Thank you.
