Go down the rabbit hole with Alice; play quidditch with Harry Potter; float down the river with Huck Finn… If you could choose three fictional events or adventures to experience yourself, what would they be?
I would go with Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, Gandalf, and the rest of the Fellowship to live the adventures of the trilogy of the Lord of the Rings. Of course, knowing in advance that all will end happily.
I would rather stick to Aragorn, Gandalf and his companions than to Frodo and Sam because I’m not enough courageous to endure the dangers of that journey to the Dark alone, without help. I would like to experience and feel the fantastic world created by Tolkien so many times recreated in my imagination. I would like to get to know fantastic creatures as hobbits, elves, dwarves, ents, wizards and also the ancient men. I would like to listen to their stories and songs, talk with them and witness their epic deeds.
Now, thinking twice, since I don’t like violence, I don’t know if my choice would be the best one.
Same thing with the second fictional world that came to my mind when I read the prompt: Accompany Ulysses in his Odyssey when he was trying to come back from Troy to Ithaca. That would give me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge on my Mediterranean roots.
Not all is fantasy an mithology in my fictional universe. For instance, I would like to participate in one of the legal thrillers of John Grisham. They remind me to my years as a reporter on courts. Although the cases I followed were, of course, far more simple.
