Do you agree?

Generalizations are dangerous. I don’t think “everybody” loses their common sense because of too much information. I think the problem resides in the common sense of the people, not in the information they receive. People with common sense will look for good information and people with no common sense will be negatively influenced by all kind of pernicious communication.

From Gertrude Stein’s time to ours the world of information have changed dramatically. We live in a world of instant news available at our fingertips whenever we want them, of data sharing worldwide, easy communications…, and easy spying too. And despite so, there is a lot of misinformation, lack of press freedom and civil rights in so many places, and secrecy in so many others, interests, money, power…, so it’s difficult to know the whole truth about what’s going on.

On the other hand, there is available in the social networks material that people with no common sense, would use to easily feed their madness: From simple fantasies to despicable or criminal actions, like to abuse children, join a hate group or even a terrorist organisation as we have seen lately.
