My travel to meet my roots has come to an end. I have been in the bay where my dad awakened to the life and the hometown of my mom.
My eyes and my soul are filled with blue. The blue of the sea, the blue of the incredible landscapes of my parents childhood. Maybe this is why blue has been always my favourite colour.
Now I’m back at home, in the city, surrounded by asphalt, concrete and grey stones.I just had come home and I’m already longing to see once more the Adriatic sea.
I’m feeling a little blues. But I’m already making plans to came back soon to that fantastic place.

Ragtag Daily Prompt – Blue
Describe your personal style, however you’d like to interpret that — your clothing style, your communication style, your hair style, your eating style, anything.
Blue. The color of my dad’s eyes. So bright and clear, like a reflect of the Adriatic sea which had seen him born. I love the color of the sky and the Mediterranean sea when its sunny. Being surrounded in blue makes me feel good. I love to wear blue clothes. they don’t match with my brown eyes, but doesn’t matter. I love listen blues when I’m not in a mood for rock or classic music. I often feel blue. So I guess My style is blue.
Imagine we lived in a world that’s all of a sudden devoid of color, but where you’re given the option to have just one object keep its original hue. Which object (and which color) would that be?
This prompt reminds me to one of my nephews who was, as a little kid, deeply intrigued by the black and white pictures of her parents and grandparents. One day he asked my sister: “when you were small, was it everything black and white?”
He had imagined a world populated by people with grey skin, clothed in black and white in a colorless surroundings only highlighted by the contrast between shadows and lights. Just like in the old movies.
He learned then that there had been always colours in real life but not the technology to capture them in photos and movies. Now he is a man working in an auction house as an expert in contemporary painting. Colours are his life.
I have problems to imagine a colourless world with only one thing keeping its hue. Kind of sad. But let’s play. The most wonderful colours are in nature so I wouldn’t choose a man-made object, but a creature or a wonder of nature.
Because I love the color blue I would choose the Mediterranean Sea where the hue is in constant change during the day with a wide range of blues, mixed with green, silver, golden, pink and red depending on the hour and the weather.
Sherlock Holmes had his pipe. Dorothy had her red shoes. Batman had his Batmobile. If we asked your friends what object they most immediately associate with you, what would they answer?
Unfortunately a trolley walker. I can’t go anywhere without it. I have a problem with my balance and I need it to don’t fall down when I go out. I hope some day the doctors will find a solution to my problem and people will associate me to another object. Actually I’m feeling better lately, and I have some hope.
Other than the walker and my flat shoes I’m known for being always near to a computer or an iPad, anything that allows me to go on line and check the news or my mail, write, blog and work.
People who knows me can associate me to a medal of Our Lady of Carmel that I always wear that I inherited from my father.
More than an object I think that people can associate me to a color: blue. I love blue and I have a lot of blue things: clothes and other objects.
